Translating product performance into cultural storytelling that sticks

Kamado Joe is a cult brand in the US, known for its uncompromising craftsmanship and boundary-pushing ceramic grill innovations. But in Europe, the brand faced a dual challenge: While the product performance spoke for itself, the brand had yet to connect emotionally and culturally with European audiences. In short: Kamado Joe needed more than translation - it needed European brand resonance.

As Kamado Joe’s external brand sparring partner for Europe, we embedded ourselves in the brand's DNA while reframing it through a local lens. Our work spanned strategy, storytelling, and tactical rollouts - fueled by Emotional Mining. We decoded the emotional triggers of the European grill market and created market-tailored storytelling campaigns that positioned Kamado Joe not just as a grill - but as a tool of transformation. From "ignite your ritual" narratives to visual worlds that blended craftsmanship with outdoor lifestyle, our work translated product USPs into emotional micro-stories for European consumers.
